Hi,

does anybody know the Power On/Off discrete codes for the Blu-Ray player Philips BDP 7300?

The code learned for Power Toggle is:

6000 0000 0000 0001 0046 00C7

--

Figured the code for Power Off by try-and-error:

6000 0000 0000 0001 0046 000C

...but still looking for discrete power on (since I don't want to use the code for Play-Button)

Thanks in advance
Punga

If you are using a Pronto Remote just try every RC6 Command Code from 0 to 255.

e.g.
In the RC 5/6/MM Add IR Code select RC6 Mode 0 and enter,
System: 70
Command: 0

then,
System: 70
Command: 1

then,
System: 70
Command: 2

and so on until your reach,
System: 70
Command: 255

OR

Edit the last word of the RC6 Hex Code from 0000 (0 in Hex) to 00FF (255 in Hex). You can use the Calculator in Windows OS set to Scientific Modes to convert Decimal to Hex.
e.g.
6000 0000 0000 0001 0046 000C

to
6000 0000 0000 0001 0046 0000

Until you reach,
6000 0000 0000 0001 0046 00FF

OR

Use Makehex to generate all 256 Hex Codes for that IR Protocol/Device Number (70) and then use IR Panels to generate a CCF File with 256 Buttons for Testing them.

MakeHex
Makes clean IR sequences from IR protocol files. See the readme file for more information.

CCF Panels (IR Panels)
Generate a CCF file from the HEX file created with MakeHex.
After creating a HEX file, open it with a text editor such as NotePad.  Use "Edit" "Select All" (or Ctrl +A), then "Edit" "Copy" (or Ctrl +C) to copy all the text.  Then start IrPanels and use Ctrl +V to paste the text into its window and press Generate CCF File. A CCF file will be created in the IR Panels Folder called IRCodesCreate (Don`t use the file called IRCodes Master) that you can use for testing in a Pronto Remote and some others.

Hi Jason,

Until you reach,
6000 0000 0000 0001 0046 00FF

I already did this but just found the code for power off. No code works for discrete power on. Does this mean the unit doesn't support discrete code for power on at all - or should I try the other methods you've listed?

Thanks
Punga

Did you try all 256 Hex Codes?

If yes, then no for ON.

Why not use PLAY & STOP in a Macro? It`s better then nothing!

Cheers

Hi Jason,

Play + Stop was my first choice, but it's a bit ugly since the Player needs about 10 sec for power on - and I don't want to wait for 10 secs on the remote to send the stop signal... Checked all 255 codes again but without luck - seems I have to live with the play-button workaround :(

Thanks

I can make my BDP3000 turn on with the eject button. On the other hand, the unit sometimes switches to standby when I use the eject button when the device is on. Not only via IR but also with the button on the front panel. Very annoying.
